We are but Earth and ashes, pride is not comely for a mortal man. Yet and still we see it everywhere especially in Babylon the height of pride and rebellion. Esau Edom the man of sin, the proud man believes himself and his accomplishments to mean something. He trusts in his technology, he deifies himself and his wicked forebearers putting his name on everything (Columbus) yet and still his pride is complete vanity. In one hour, all his colonized wealth, technological accomplishments, and infrastructure will be wiped out by Yahawah’s judgement. Such is the vanity of pride for a mere mortal man, when 500 years of work will be undone in one hour under the wrath of Yahawah bahasham Yahawashi.

Bartie Musa Commentary: Why is earth and ashes proud? Seriously, what do you have to be proud about. You cannot even control the next day and guarantee you will live to see it. Man’s pride is complete and utter vanity, his accomplishments are nothing but a sand castle swept away at the slightest gust of Yahawah’s wind (natural disasters). Yet and still in 2025 under the leadership of Esau Edom, man has reached the apex of pride. Esau Edom is the living embodiment of pride, a thief who now smugly pontificates and tells others to “pull themselves up by the bootstraps”, a hypocrite who lectures other nations while his own is in complete moral and social decay. Pride is abominable in the eyes of Yahawah, and for good reason.

We are but clay, formed from the Earth. When you perish your body disintegrates like the wind, to be prideful as if you’re an immortal is complete vanity and an affront to the most high. Us Israelite brothers and sisters must be the opposite of prideful, while Babylon walks in pride, wantonness, sin, vanity. We must walk as the elect would, in humility, fear of the LORD, and patience. This does not mean to strive for no accomplishments in life, or try to improve your station or the life of your family. It simply means all your supposed work, accomplishments, even your physical looks or whatever you hold pride in…it is vanity, and true fulfillment comes from walking with Yahawah in humility. This is the purpose of man, and what gives vain clay shells (the flesh) meaning when walking in the spirit of The Most High, after his ways.

This is a great question, if you ever find yourself being prideful ask yourself why is earth and ashes proud? You can’t even control whether you’ll be breathing in a month from now, it is only Yahawah’s mercy and grace that allows you to continue living. Yet and still you find yourself prideful, this is because Babylon has influenced you, Esau Edom the man of sin, the proud man has rubbed off on you.
The only thing that makes a mortal man not complete and utter vanity is these earthly pitchers (fleshly bodies) that we are in, that house our spirit. These mortal, fleshly bodies have a purpose, and the purpose is to walk with Yahawah to walk in his path, and that is our duty. If you’re ever sitting there wondering what is my purpose? Why was I born? You were born to serve Yahawah bahasham Yahawashi and do what he told us to do, live life walking in his path. That is your purpose, that is the whole duty of man. Now does this mean every single human is a monk praying 24/7? No, it means whether you’re a musician, a rapper, an IT tech worker, whatever role or job you play in society your purpose is still the same. Fear Yahawah and keep his commandments.

Bartie Musa Commentary: Earth and ashes has no right to be proud, this does not mean you cannot celebrate your accomplishments or pat yourself on the back when you do a good job. That is not what the lesson is saying, it is saying that no matter what you do, no matter how wealthy, beautiful, or accomplished you may think you are. It is nothing to be proud about, it can all vanish in an instant, and true purpose and fulfillment comes from serving Yahawah bahasham Yahawashi. Your life is a gift from the most high, it enables you a chance to walk with him and live how he would want you to, this is your duty and your true source of fulfillment. Everything else revolves around that, your strength, beauty, wealth, etc. all is subordinate to your walk with Yahawah.
