Bartie Musa Commentary: Let the heathen drama continue to play out, this is great news for our purposes. Though not a significant development, it does speak to the shifting diplomatic and spiritual ties between Moab and Edom.

Once the cheap goods stop flowing to Babylon these Babylonian peasants will truly lose it. Once that sweet sweet Babylonian dollar stops flowing to Moabite coffers these Moabite peasants will certainly lose it.
